We have some amazing people coming to Agen this year. And I’m particularly happy because they have all been here before. They each came originally as simple participants, but many have gone on to become well-known stars in the CI universe. And sometimes the rest of the universe takes notice. Cécile Lainé, after being named Teacher of the Year in the state of Tennessee, has now been named Teacher of the Year by SCOLT, the Southern Conference on Language Teaching, one of five regional conferences. She is now in competition to become our national Teacher of the Year. Bravo Cécile! Everyone who knows her knows how seriously she strives to give her very best in everything she does.
Cécile, originally from the south of France, but now living with her family in the United States, came to Agen in 2014, curious to find out what TPRS was all about. I remember that she had lots of questions, and her lovely smile when she got some answers. She went back to Ohio and wrote a great blog article about her experience.
Who is Cécile Lainé today? Cécile Lainé is a student-centered and equity- minded French educator with over 17 years of experience across K–12.
